Laura Marie Clark is a poet from Lincolnshire, England. She has a BA in History and has spent time living and working in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Her first book of poems, City of the World, takes the reader on the adventures of an expat through poetry.

How am I to immortalize them all?
The marvels, the jokes, the many joys
That belong to every one?

With a hint of something
Gloomier:
A shaky apprehension

The path of life, a lying friend
Hurtles me 'round every bend;
Towering hills grow in my way
To bring me hardships every day.

They sneaked out at night
To give their parents a fright
Sinking out of sight
In a place beyond the light
