Sometimes I think but do not say the lines
That children sing without effort these days
About their triumphs, glory, they fly like birds
But flight stops short and leaves decay ablaze
...
And you flash and dance across the sky
a captivating eye,
shine, a sheen
of brilliance
...
Deprave me of the salt, the sea
My uptake by waves,
That comforting home,
Won't wash over me.
...
New Age
Sometimes I think but do not say the lines
That children sing without effort these days
About their triumphs, glory, they fly like birds
But flight stops short and leaves decay ablaze
Flowing freely with their unversed thinking
The fight is far and long. Without a care
They float through life but are not seen blinking
The still, long days are spent without masked stare
And their pure thoughts not tainted now but glossed
Media grows. Medleys of brain washing.
It’s fine to lie, to cheat, when minds are lost
Until the dreams of time they are squashing
So take me deep into this sea of verse
And then let this feeling of rue disperse
