Leighcandice Jean Young was born in Sydney Australia on september 19th 1987. Making her just eighteen years old. Her mother Dianne Jennifer Costello also enjoys writing poetry and they both have quite a few of their poems published in poetry books. Leighcandice credits her mother for giving her the 'poetry gene' and includes her as one of her favourite poets. Some of her other favourites include Emily Dickenson and E E Cummings.
