The Scale

The scale is truth, the scale is lie,
She steps on light, and hopes to fly.
But gravity is cruel and cold—
It tells the weight of stories untold.

She skips the meal, avoids the plate,
Calls it control, but it feels like fate.
A calorie's a loaded gun,
And hunger is how battles are won.
