Lighthouse
Waves are smashing into the rocks
Like it's some kind of trifling nought
The old lighthouse yet doesn't care
About danger that ocean has brought
Nothing shakes it, no window lights up
There is emptiness, darkness inside it
And no ray from the beacon would cleave
Through the coast, through the viscous mist
And a keeper's dismissed long ago
And locator's worn out for good
And brick walls are weaken with rot
But proud fighter will keep his manhood.
Nor tornado nor hurricane
Will destroy the supercilious pharos
As only breaks who feels absolute
But you can't wreck the one who's deposed.
