Thanksgiving Day

Over the river and through the wood,
To grandfather's house we go;
The horse knows the way

The World I Am Passing Through

FEW, in the days of early youth,
Trusted like me in love and truth.
I ’ve learned sad lessons from the years;
But slowly, and with many tears;

That little lock of silvery hair
Reminds me of what friendly care!
And gratefully my memory pays
Its tribute to departed days.
