You Are Loved

He created you and He loves you.
When He looks into your eyes and He hugs you,
you know you are loved.
You are an angel in this world.
You carry peace like a cross upon your shoulders.
You heal the tears and fears with just a wave of your hand.
You take away the hunger, and you promise rebirth so that
all may rejoice in being born once again.
You fly higher than the heavens and touch the peace
that warms even the coldest days of winter.
I have seen you drifting over the mountains
like a snowflake, slowly falling to the earth
glistening off the twinkling stars. You lightly touch and then
disappear to become one with the sand, and the rock, and the pain.
You are a miracle of creation. A mender of the heart that lies broken
In pieces at the footprints of squandered love.
I have strummed you on the instrument of my musical
Imagination. You came to life in the colors of the rainbow.
You have danced on the clouds of purest white, and have been content
to wave your banner like the kitten gently stroking its tale to the rhythm
of peace and tranquility. You are safe within my arms.
I feel the trust in the way you look into my eyes.
You are tender, and you are loved.
