One Thing

I picked up the phone again today

Stared down at it in my hand

Your voice is only a call away

But I hesitated once again

Your presence is oh so soothing

Your words they warm my heart

But telling you how I feel

Now that's the hardest part

Sometimes I think you know

And even feel it too

Sometimes I think you miss it all

And you haven't got a clue

Maybe one day you'll say it

If I don't say it first

Perhaps I may just hold it in

'til the day my heart will burst

Either way our story goes

I will love you 'til the end

Just know one thing... no matter what

You will always be my friend
