The Dream In My Heart

I once had a heart that had many beats...
My heart skipped a beat at the sound of your voice
My heart skipped a beat with the tune of your choice
My feelings grew hurt, now I know who you are
What you did left a trace
Your trace is a scar
With a scar on my heart, my heart fell asleep
Like a star out of charge, lost in the deep
My heart is asleep but it has many dreams
About a boy and a girl whose hearts always gleamed
The dreams my heart dreams are scenes of our past
When I wished every moment together would last
It’s hard to let go when you can’t get through
…I wish dreams came true
