Delia Marheineke Biography

I am English born, and live near London where I spent most of my childhood, except for three years 1945 - 48, in a children's home in the village of Hockley in Essex. My love of poetry stems from my earliest years, and my own first poem published by Poetry Now, penned in 1996, was called 'Second Sight'. I live alone, but for my cat; and my husband now lives in a nursing home, where I and our daughter visit him. Most of my poems now are on the Quora website/app, but to access them you would need to join Quora, so now I am venturing further afield.
