Life floats oh so gently by,
Upon the passing river of time,
While long I stood, aloof, unmoved,
Looking at the world, longing, wishing,
Waiting, praying for courage to take the chance.

Many are the days of endless hope,
Mingled with despair,
Silent tears shed in quietude,
Bright smile amidst the pain.
