Silent Screams

It seems like just yesterday,
My heart was gently held,
It feels like just yesterday
Your smell lingered around me,
Keeping my soul company,
Giving false hopes.

It was a dream come true,
to meet you in this life,
You brought newness to my little body
And introduced knives that stabbed my heart

Your smell lingered,
So I waited you'd be back
I cried bloody tears
In the hope my body will give up

Here I am
still crying tears of blood
Still sweating myself
to make you proud

Our children are not with me
don't blame me if I feel lonely
So, I write this poem
For my thoughts to be free

My mind says move on
And it says may be wait a while
It driving me crazy
All I can do is reason out and try

My body is tired
My chest yearns your touch
For its in pain
I am really sorry for everything
But alas that's in vain

So today I'll pretend
That you are no more
you are a star
But now my heart longs
to be where you are.
