White Name, Asian Skin

Hi! Nice to meet you. My name is John! Yes, John
I know, I know: it's pretty weird.

But that's me: white name, asian skin.

It's funny, how often people will ask me what my real name is. It's funny how often I wonder the same thing.

But its funny how when this land hears names like John
they see one of their own.
When they hear names like Mohammad, they see terrorist.
They see go home.
They see our differences.

Anyways, my name is John
I've never really liked my name
But that's me: white name, asian skin
