Summer Job

I can feel the sun scorching my skin
It's penetrating rays burning me
I can taste the salty sweat in on my mouth
As beads roll off my brow over my face
My muscle burn with agony, pleading to stop
But I only ignore their protests

I allow myself a periodic refreshment
The paralyzing cold water rushes down my throat
As it races down my throat it smolders my blazing body

Back to work.
