The Best Poem Of Paul Simbi

Face Of Cholera

Fear flooded atmosphere.
A screamfrom deep within.
Sharp pain from the intestines
Then your presence is felt.
With screaming and mourning around Africa.

So ashamed to show your face.
Seen by your victims who never live to tell.
Is it you or us?
Who us shunning whose face?
Singing a didge of an unseen cause.

Your character is of cowardice
A friend to the weak and depressed.
Scouting the poor for prey
Poor infrastructure for inhabitant.
Where sewage burst and clean water scarce.

Moving like Dracula, you come.
Dominating and terrorising the unprepared and unaware.
Standing a grim reaper in their eyes.
A face of a vendetta posing.
Draining dry all stream from my people's eyes.

Shall we continue falling to your trap?
Perish all to your epidemic?
No, we shall rise.
This trumpet has blown
Let's unmask this shame
Dare prepare against it face to face.
Our triumph is at hand.```
