المَرْءُ مَنظُورٌ إلَيهِ

ألمَرْءُ مَنظُورٌ إلَيهِ، ................... مادامَ يُرجى ما لديهِ
مَنْ كُنتَ تَبغي أنْ تَكو .......... نَ، الدّهرَ، ذا فضْلٍ علَيْهِ
فابذُلْ لهُ ما في يديـ .............. ـكَ وَغُضّ عَمّا في يَدَيْهِ

إيَّاكَ أعْنِي يا ابْنَ آدَمَ فاسْتَمِعْ

أؤَمِلُ أنْ أخَلَدَ والمنَايَا

أرَى الدّنْيَا لمَنْ هيَ في يَدَيْهِ

لكُلّ أمرٍ جَرَى فيهِ القَضَا سَبَبُ

إنّما الشّيبُ، لابنِ آدَمَ، ناعٍ
