19th Of July (Sonnet 19) Poem by Fatima Alzhara Rafa

19th Of July (Sonnet 19)

& when Fatima speaks,
the blooms dance on the lemon tree.
& when Fatima laughs,
the bees start laughing with glee.

Who could write like Fatima?
A pair of eyes that couldn't lie
God forbid you see them cry.

& here comes July
the world is having fun.
July is the month Fatima saw the sun.
The angels wrote her name,
God grant her aims.
The world is never the same.

If Shakespeare started poetry,
if he lived for more centuries,
he could have adjusted Sonnet 19
on the 19th of July,
for beauty's pattern to succeeding men,
and those lovely pairs of eyes.
