3 A.M. Poem by Reverend Jarrod Plantagenet-Capet

3 A.M.

Alone
A lone
Sole soul
At home
Hears the
Clock strike
3 a.m. again tonight

Tell me
My dear
Why aren't
You here
At home
In bed?
Come and rest your weary head

Call me
My dear
Why aren't
You here
Asleep
In bed
Did you have to work late again?

Lovelorn
Love loss
Our love has
Paid the cost
3a.m. exists and this lover's lost in loneliness

If you were late at work,
Why's there lipstick on your shirt?

Alone
A lone
Sole soul
At home
Hears the
Clock strike
3a.m. again tonight

Can't talk
Now dear
Work's piled
To my ears
Go lay
Down In bed
Baby, rest your weary head

So sad
My dear
Don't know
How long
I'll be here
It's 3 a.m.
And I have to work late again

Loveless
Loves Lust
Scarlet Adulterous
3 a.m.'s grift libidinous
And all is lost of faithfulness

If you were late at work,
Why's there lipstick on your shirt?
I said now...
If you were late at work,
Why's there lipstick on your shirt?
