9月20 2017 Poem by Vonnie Postit

9月20 2017

i've always loved mornings, because
mornings are just for me.
no ifs or sorry's or excuses or whatever
just rhythms i move to and the strong
sun that cries sometimes, but not
all the time.
she looks at me and although i am not
always as kind as i should be
she's there if i want her or not
like sweet mangoes that i buy
down the alleyway or large, large water bottles.
like cigarettes and laughs and
apologies or whatever when i tell my
favorite story.
the people are not always there.
the people are there too much.
satisfaction has always been a word
to make me laugh.
i look for dependencies and i find them
easily.
the night makes my heart beat faster
and the heart of my palms sweatier
and if i
when i
but when i and if
and nighttime.
but mornings
mornings are just for me.
