LIGHT:
'DELIVER ME FROM DARKNESS'
I'm just a candle dancing in the darkness;
It feels like my flame is about to fade away.
But tomorrow brings with it a better day,1
A star in the sky to show you the way.

This pain and sorrow is eating me inside-out;
There are many memories I could do without.
The faith that I once found gave place to doubt;
The light is getting weaker like a candle going out.

Lonely warrior - fight in the dark;
A force that comes from one small spark.
The flame may flicker, but it never dies;
The wind can't blow it out, however hard it tries.

These nightmares are starting to come every night,
But I don't know how long I can keep up this fight; 2
To learn the difference between wrong and right,0
Only to find I've already lost the fight.1


'A CANDLE GOES OUT'
All it takes is one spark
To light a candle in the dark.
There's no shadow of a doubt;
This candle can't be put out.

What is it like to lose your light,
And embrace the emptiness of night?
The flame of faith burns oh so bright,
But will it last through this dark night?

If you hold on with all your might,
One day the dark will turn to light!
One little light can chase away the night,
But when it's gone, then who will fight?

Come out of the night into the light;
As the darkness fades, it becomes so bright.
In this world of darkness, there's a light;
Don't surrender to the shadows tonight.


'THE LORD OF LIGHT'
There is a truth no lie can kill;
It never has and never will.
The darkness can't conceal the light,
Not even for a single night.

Jesus is the light of the world today; 0
No darkness can keep Him away.
He is the truth - what a wonderful sight;
He is the source of all the light.

Maybe something is blocking your view;
Let Him take the darkness away from you.
There is no night He can't shine through;
Just open your heart and see what He can do.

Darkness disappears in the presence of pure love;
Shadows scatter in the light from up above.
The future seems brighter if you just say0
He'll make a way when there's no way.


'LORD LIVE IN ME'
When I was drifting far astray
From the straight and narrow way,
A man was born who paid the cost;
He gave his life to save the lost.

A Savior came to rescue me;
His love means everything to me.
Once I was blind, but now I see,
For truth has set me free.

The fear I felt has left me now;
I want to trust you, but I don't know how.
I don't know what tomorrow brings;
I'll take shelter under your wings.

Now I'll be a willing servant for you;
Show me what you want me to do.
Let your light shine in me,
So the whole world will see.


'LORD, SHINE IN ME'
I close my eyes;
I'm not sure what to do.
That's when I realize
I have to trust in you.

I can't see ahead,
On this perilous path I tread.
I need your bright light in my life,
To face the dark I dread.

Let your light shine on me,
And guide me through this day.
I may be blind, but I can see
There has to be a way.

So save me from this emptiness
And make me whole.
Like a candle in the darkness,
Light up my soul.


'CANDLE KEEPER'
Once in a lifetime, you will find someone0
Who puts hope in your heart.
As time goes by, that light might die;
The flame fades from the start.

Sometimes a friendship that has grown
Can rekindle a fire growing weak; 0
Though you may long for that lost glow,
If you look, you'll find what you seek.

I will light a candle tonight
And put it out for you to see.
Then when you're alone and afraid,
You can make it back home to me.

You glow with light, just like a star;
I just want to be where you are.
You're the closest to my heart
Anyone has made it so far.


'LIVING IN THE LIGHT'
This day is full of darkness,
But some choose to live in the light.
Fewer still reach for that brightness,
Beholding what is right.

My life shall not be lost in vain;
The sun will shine right through the rain.
A moment of pleasure - an eternity of pain;
I have nothing left to lose - nothing more to gain.

The stars are so few and far apart;
Hope is a fire burning in your heart.
Dare to dream like you never have before;
Because one candle can become a thousand more.

When the dark shadows surround you,
And try to hide your light,
You will only shine on brighter,
Like a star in the night.


'THE FLAME OF FAITH'
A candle once dim now ignites
In a brilliant beam of light
As it brings truth and knowledge
To the mind and restores sight.

The light of love, once it is lit,
Continues to shine on;
Even after the spark of life
In us is gone.

Don't give in to your doubt;
Never let your candle go out.
Be a beacon in the night,
A star that shines with a bright light.

Now send your light for all to see,
And bring peace to the world for me.
Light your candle now, my friend;
Bring this darkness to an end.


'LOOKING FOR THE LIGHT'
My flame will burn
Until you can return.
The sun is about to set;
Night will come, but it's not here yet.

If it weren't for this light,
I'd be lost in the night.
By this light, I will know
Which way to go.

I'm the candle - you're the flame;
It was dark before you came.
Ever since you called my name,
I have never been the same.

When I have lost my way,
When I've fallen and gone astray,
Each bright ray turns my night to day;
I know it will be okay.


'LAST LIGHT'
When faith has faded
And no stars are in sight,
And darkness devours the
Last of the light.

There are dying dreams;
In this world full of woe.
And all is lost, it seems,
But no one will ever know.

Life no longer matters;
Death has come instead.
The stars have shattered,
And the last dream lies dead.

When the last song is sung
And the emptiness filled,
That's when wandering hearts
Will finally be stilled.




RAINBOWS:
'THE CIRCLE OF CREATION'
All of creation was balanced before;
As it once was, so it shall be once more.
There will be a rainbow after The Fall,
Though for now it seems there's no hope at all.
By majestic mercy and glorious grace,
Wisdom for which the world prepares no place,
They've always been here, before you or I;
It's a wonderful world where dreams never die.

The River of Life cascades through all creation,
Made of our tears - chaos shouts in celebration.
If we must walk by faith, not sight,
How do you know what's wrong or right?
There are different colors of light;
But in the end, it’s black or white.
Love, light, and life last eternally;
They are all part of reality.

A rainbow is where heaven and earth meet;
The circle of creation is complete.
It gives its light to guide the way,
As we begin a brand-new day.
Sometimes it seems like no hope is anywhere;
We never notice it's still there.
Breathtaking beauty - it’s beyond what we can bear,
But we can’t see it anywhere.

God set His bow up in the sky,
His covenant with you and I.
A promise of hope shining in the sky
That dreams will never really die.
You left the rainbow behind you,
Crying tears of sorrow;
But it remains to remind you
There will be a new tomorrow.


'THE TEARS OF HEAVEN'
Rainbows come out after a storm;
They are so wonderful and warm.
Rainbows remind us of God's Love;
There it is in heaven above.
Heaven’s tears fall from the sky;
And for each one, a dream must die.
Without them, there will never be
A symphony for us to see.

Sometimes the sky sends us rain,
Filling our lives with tears and pain.
This world is dark with terrible things;
Look for the light - the beauty it brings.
It goes far as the eye can see;
God put it there for you and me.
It has a beginning, but has no end;
It's a great gift to share with a close friend.

When your heart's broken,
And you look through your tears,
Sunshine breaks through clouds,
And a rainbow appears.
Rainbows are a promise
That the Lord will surely keep.
Tomorrow will be better,
Though today we weep.


'RAINBOW IN YOUR HEART'
When there's a rainbow
Deep down in your heart,
It will always be with you
Even when the world falls apart.
You'll never be empty,
It will make your heart glow;
You'll never feel lonely
Wherever you may go.

A rainbow is a brilliant beam
That fills the sky with light;
It's a fantastic dream
That lets your soul take flight.
What a wonderful sight;
It's beautiful and bright.
The truth your glow will show
To those who wish to know.

Enchanting to the eye,
Like a symphony in the sky.
Colors bring a smile;
Make life more worthwhile.
The glory of heaven will glow
Down on the earth, far below.
May it light up your way
With its radiant ray.

It keeps you going
Until you catch it, then,
There's always another
To lead you on again.
You know it starts
Deep in your heart.
Only heaven knows
Where it goes.


'WHERE HEAVEN MEETS EARTH'
Rainbows fade, but they will come back again;
God's promises are true - we just lose sight of them.
There are no tears in heaven, or so they say;
Who will wipe God's tears away?

Even though it seems like the sun will never shine,2
He will make a miracle and all will be fine.2
Even though it seems like the sun won't come out,1
He will do whatever it takes to bring it about.

Look with your heart and not just with your eyes;
That's the only way to see past all the lies.
If you're lost in darkness, then don't despair;
The light of truth waits for you there.

Sunlight scatters shifting shadows,
Black storm clouds replaced by rainbows.
As long as the sun stills shines bright,
Darkness will never defeat the light.


'RAINBOW REFLECTIONS'
When I look at the clouds, what do I see?
A wonderful world where I want to be!
A rainbow is music seen with the eyes,
Beautiful colors lighting up the sky.

The beauty is there for us to behold;
A reminder for the young and the old.
What we do in life echoes through eternity;
This is where fantasy meets reality.

The world is dark, so we must be a light;
Together we can drive darkness out of sight.
Light was not put here in our hearts to stay;
Love isn't love until you give it away.

Your dreams are waiting at the end of the rainbow;
They might come true if you don't let them go.
When it feels like your hope is hollow;
All you need is the faith to follow.


'RAINBOW’S END'
In a valley meadow,
There is a place so sweet,
Where wild flowers grow
And we are meant to meet.

Time slows while the sun glows;
And you can feel heaven’s heartbeat.
Where the wind blows and the water flows,
And there’s moss underneath your feet.

At the end of the rainbow
My dreams came true;
With arms wide open,
I'll be waiting there for you.

So remember the rainbow;
I put it there for you.
I just want you to know
That I love you.


'MY LIFE IS GREY'
I feel so cold and lonely,
But you're nowhere to be found.
I wish you could be here with me;
My tears fall like rain to the ground.

The clouds are grey - the sky is black;
The color is gone - it's not coming back.
Without you, the world seems duller;
It's like everything lost its color.

I can't see the sun - not one ray;
I wish that you would light the way.
Seems like my world's a shade of gray,
Without you there to brighten my day.

I tried to win your heart and mind;
I gave you all my love, but in the end I find,
I've been racing after a rainbow,
Chasing after a shadow.


'SOMEWHERE UNDER THE RAINBOW'
Somewhere under the rainbow,
Down below,
There's a warped world of shadow;
It's not the one you know.

Somewhere under the rainbow,
Skies are black;
There's a place where your fear can
Give you a heart attack.

Somewhere under the rainbow,
Clouds are gray;
There's a valley of shadow
That takes your breath away.

Somewhere under the rainbow,
Lost souls scream;
There's a dark world of nightmares
Where heaven's just a dream.


'DREAM OF A RAINBOW'
Dream of a rainbow,
That goes far as the eye can see.
It's full of pretty colors
That hold magic and mystery.

Let the colors live;
Cherish the glow that they give.
If you get them all right,
They make one bright light that's pure white.

Light, life, and love;
That's what dreams are made of.
It's everything I dreamed;
It's even better than it seemed.

I can't seem to get there,
And I don't think it's fair.
The sunlight seems hidden,
Forever forbidden.


'RAINBOW AFTER A STORM'
The rain is hard and heavy,
It's falling really fast.
The storm is dark and cold,
But it won't last.

After the storm, there's a rainbow
To lift our hearts when they are low.
Such a sight shouldn’t be wasted
On a heart that hesitated.

So don't forget to look up,
Whenever you're in tears.
Before the rainbow comes,
The dark clouds disappear.

Don't let the rainbow fade away;
It will come back again someday.
Love can take many different forms,
Like a rainbow after a storm.


'I'LL FOLLOW MY RAINBOW'
Every ending
Has a new beginning.
My life doesn't depend
On where rainbows end.

Each time I see a rainbow,
I think of you for a while.
I never saw you crying;
You always had a smile.

Open your heart - close your eyes;
I'll show you a big surprise,
But you can't hold it in your hand;
I know it's hard to understand.

I have to follow my rainbow
Wherever it will go.
Maybe someday I'll find my dreams;
It's not for me to know.


'CHASING RAINBOWS'
Chasing rainbows isn't easy,
Though we think it should be;
It took a leap of faith
Capturing it for me!

If I could catch a rainbow,
I'd do it just for you, you know.
Don't let dreams pass you by;
You can catch them if you try.

Live in the light,
And try to see the unseen.
One day you will have it,
And you'll know what I mean.

I couldn't catch my rainbow;
My dreams were denied.
Maybe you could still catch it;
It's hard - I've tried!
