I like a person who sees the world with the
symmetry of sunflowers,
vastness of oceans,
grandeur of mountains in Iran and Nepal,
melody of music orchestrated by hearts,
genuine smile of an orphan Somalian child,
adopted by a rich American family,
power of the mind not ruined by stupidity of regimes,
beauty of emotions not suppressed by honor and taboos,
hunger of a prisoner left in his cell,
lines of a letter written to a lover in North Korea,
purity of African culture not contaminated by outsiders,
immense thirst of a lonely soul in Kalahari,
or under the scorching sun of Sahara desert,
resilience of a smooth shaggy hickory,
eternal patience of Job in times of distress,
beset by misery, bereft of health, family and wealth,
staunch loyalty of a dove,
categorical seriousness of a comatose,
hilariousness of a barrel of monkeys,
tremendous strength of a lion,
A beloved chimera?
A beloved chimera?

the offspring of Typhon and Echidna,
and a sibling of Cerberus and the Lernaean Hydra,
the fire breathing hybrid?
the lion-fronted, snake behind, goat in the middle creature,
omen of shipwrecks, storms, volcanoes?
bitter irony of fire, power, eternity and sinister soul,
baffling outlandish fusion of life, pestilence, venom, and vigor!
A beloved chimera?
Do you relish the idea? Do you fancy this beautiful fusion?
Do you really like this amazing being?
I like a person who sees the world with,
the stunning toughness of old boots,
worn by weary bedraggled soldiers in World war II,
the authenticity of a fact, absolute truth,
uncorrupted untarnished unpolluted by lies, and tricks,
the perseverance of the feet who have hitched the length of the whole galaxy,
struggle for survival against all odds and ordeals,
dazzling preciousness of oceans’ treasures,
softness of milk, the smoothness of silk,
colossal clout of knowledge and information,
gigantic influence of insight, consciousness, and awareness,
steely determination of adamant tenacious fate,
clarity and tenacity of a lovers’ photographic memory,
healing effect of time and space,
sophistication of logic and philosophy,
happiness of a mother hugging her son after 10 years in prison,
the hostage miraculously released by ruthless ruffians,
or her tears of joy streaming down her wrinkled face,
seeing her son after the war is over,
yes, the war is over, he is safe and sound!
