A Big Step Toward The Future Poem by Cody Klinker

A Big Step Toward The Future

As high school years come to an end,
We know that soon we must leave a friend.
Then choose a path to take in life,
Hoping that contemplation doesn't cause much strife.
Doctor, lawyer, teacher, and more
Are jobs that someone might be waiting for.
Parent and teachers understand their decision is tough,
For kids believe that four years of college is long enough.
As the new chapters of our lives begin,
Our goal should always be to win.
The future is always a scary thought,
But work hard and remember everything that you've been taught.
