A Bitter Sugar Poem by Abdul-Qadir Abdul-Mumin

A Bitter Sugar

Rating: 5.0

Give me back my world
A world where I had everything
A world where I didn't need anything
A world where I lacked nothing
Give me back my world
A world where both parents were present
A world that was better than this present
A world that I thought was my present
Give me back my world
A world without sadness
A world without all these madness
I am tired of all this sickness
Give me back my world
Would I get my world back again?
Too much sorrows, I cannot contain
Give me back my world, and I'll try to explain
I bleed in my heart, each time I try to retain
Give me back my world
I used to believe in hope
Until I knew life is like a rope
It ends just the way it starts
Give me back my world
I see the world like sugar
I taste the world and its bitter
