I met a cat named Linda tonight
With a body dark black, and a tail so white.

I met a cat named Linda tonight
A grand old lady, she could put up a fight

I met a cat named Linda tonight
Her coat well groomed and her eyes so bright

I met a cat named Linda tonight
She'd seen so much, but was losing her sight

I met a cat named Linda tonight
The car just hadn't seen her in the pale moonlight

I met a cat named Linda tonight
She couldn't stay long, try as she might

I met a cat named Linda tonight
Her time was sadly over, exit stage right.
