A Christmas Without My Love Poem by Rosemary Monahan

A Christmas Without My Love

The year is coming to an end
The big day is soon to be here
I'm getting ready for it and
someone I love isn't so near.

Snow is around everywhere
I see children playing in it
A few couples are out there
But why aren't we out in it?

Its becoming very cold now
Everyone's trying to keep warm
Why can't we be together somehow
Cuddling up and keeping warm?

A Christmas without my love
is like being very sick
Trying to get over it quickly
But its something that you
just can't lick!
