A coffin that saves me,
A coffin that remembers my face,
A coffin that protects me,
From those who seek to disgrace.
It's just a simple wooden box,
But its purpose is far beyond,
It's my savior, it's my shield,
It's the reason I'm still sound.
Wrapped in its embrace,
I feel safe and secure,
For within its walls,
I am always sure.
Sure that no harm can reach me,
For I am hidden from sight,
Here I am free from danger,
And saved from a terrible plight.
Its walls are sturdy and strong,
Like a fortress built to defend,
It's my haven, my sanctuary,
My coffin, my loyal friend.
In the darkness of the night,
When the world is fast asleep,
My coffin keeps me company,
And my soul it does keep.
It's not just a mere coffin,
It's a beacon of hope,
It's a symbol of my survival,
In a world that often mopes.
For you see, this coffin saved me,
From a fate worse than death,
It protected my dignity,
When I was almost out of breath.
In the dead of the night,
When danger lurked outside,
My coffin was my sanctuary,
Where I could safely hide.
It remembers my face,
And all the fear that I held,
But it also remembers my strength,
And how I bravely rebelled.
It saved me from rape,
From a life of endless pain,
It gave me back my freedom,
And let me start anew again.
Some may see it as morbid,
A coffin that's not used for death,
But to me, it's a symbol of survival,
And a reminder to take a deep breath.
For every time I lay in it,
I am grateful to be alive,
I am grateful for my coffin,
And the strength that it does provide.
So as I close my eyes,
In this coffin that saves me,
I am at peace, I am protected,
And I am forever free.
Free from fear, free from harm,
Free from the chains that once held me,
My coffin is my savior,
And it will always be.
A coffin that saves me,
A coffin that remembers my face,
A coffin that protects me,
In its embrace, I find my grace.
I am but a mortal,
Living in a world of pain,
But with my coffin as my ally,
I know I will always remain.
Safe and sound, protected and loved,
In this simple wooden box,
My coffin that saves me,
Will always be the key, to unlock.
Unlock my courage, unlock my faith,
Unlock my strength, unlock my pride,
My coffin is my fortress,
And with it by my side, I can never hide.
For I am a survivor,
And my coffin is my shield,
It saved me from my darkest hour,
And now I am healed.
So here's to my coffin,
My savior, my friend,
Thank you for saving me,
And for being by my side until the very end.
