A Common Repetitive Mistrial
Oh, the shame of it all
A never-ending cycle
Of a common repetitive mistrial
A story with no happy ending
Just frustration and denial
Once again, I stand in this courtroom
The same walls, the same judge
The same jury, the same doubts
A scene I've come to begrudge
My life on pause, my future unclear
A victim of this recurring curse
A mistrial that seems to repeat
A fate I simply can't reverse
The gavel strikes, the proceedings begin
The same old evidence laid out
The same old arguments, the same old lies
A scene that's become a familiar bout
The same old witnesses, the same old fears
The same old hopes, the same old tears
A carousel of despair, a never-ending ride
A common repetitive mistrial, with no place to hide
The judge's words, a symphony of dread
The jury's faces, a canvas of doubt
The prosecutor's accusations, a constant attack
My defense, an endless bout
The same old objections, the same old pleas
The same old game of give and take
A never-ending cycle, a relentless tease
A common repetitive mistrial, with no break
The jury deliberates, the tension rises
My heart pounds, my anxiety soars
The verdict, a knife to my heart
A repeat of the same old scores
Not guilty, the words that never come
The same old guilty, the same old pain
A common repetitive mistrial, as my fate is undone
A story that always ends the same
Back to square one, the trial begins
The same old story, the same old pain
The cycle never breaks, the mistrial never ends
The same old loss, the same old gain
The same old witnesses, the same old questions
The same old doubts, the same old fears
A repetitive symphony, a never-ending lesson
A common repetitive mistrial, that's become my greatest fear
I try to break the pattern, to change the tide
But the cards are always stacked against me
A victim of this never-ending game
A story that never seems to set me free
The same old evidence, the same old lies
The same old doubts, the same old cries
A never-ending cycle, a constant refrain
A common repetitive mistrial, that's driving me insane
And as I stand here, once again
I can't help but feel hopeless and lost
A prisoner of this vicious cycle
A victim of this never-ending cost
The same old judge, the same old trial
The same old game, the same old denial
A common repetitive mistrial, that's become my life
A story that never changes, a never-ending strife
Oh, the shame of it all
A never-ending cycle
Of a common repetitive mistrial
A story with no happy ending
Just frustration and denial
A fate that I'm forced to accept
A never-ending loop of regret
A common repetitive mistrial
A story that I'll never forget.
