Froggy wakes with morning light,
Under rock, so cool and tight.
Skin feels dry, a little tight,
Needs some dew, to make it right.
Sunbeams warm, a leafy throne,
Froggy warms, down to the bone.
Feels the sun, not all alone,
Ready now, to hunt and roam.
Sun too hot, time to hide,
In the shade, where breezes glide.
Resting now, where cool things bide,
Till evening comes, to step outside.
Dusk arrives, the air is sweet,
Tiny bugs, a tasty treat!
Long tongue shoots, oh so fleet,
Dinner caught, a victory neat.
Nighttime falls, a croaking sound,
Love song rings, all around.
But danger lurks, on the ground,
Quick jump in, and safety found.
Birds and snakes, a scary sight,
Froggy hides, with all his might.
A day is done, from dark to light,
A frog's hard life, both day and night.
