A Deeper Love

I rise each day with purpose clear,

Out of my bed, I'll have no fear

For I am driven, I am strong,

My work and dreams, where I belong.

I step into a steamy shower,

Washing away any doubt or cower,

Refreshed and ready, I put on my clothes,

My ponytail and makeup, a story unfolds.

With shoes on my feet, I'm out the door,

An hour early, I strive for more,

For I'm not one for any distractions,

My focus is strong, no time for reactions.

Love may be on my heels,

But I don't have time to feel,

It's all about my freedom and independence,

My self-love, my true transcendence.

I know I've got some sense,

To know that sinning is not the fence,

That keeps my head above the water,

My strength and determination, my true armor.

I have a place to rest my head,

My own transportation, not in need of any thread,

I work hard for what I have,

My bills to pay, my dreams to pave.

But I am tied to a deeper love,

My heart and soul, soar above,

I stand taller for a deeper love,

My roots grow deeper, as I sway weary of.

For I am in labor with a deeper love,

A love that transcends, a love from above,

I follow the protocol for a deeper love,

My heart ablaze, like fire from above.

With each step, I feel higher,

My soul ablaze, with a deeper fire,

My love for myself, a true desire,

A love that burns, never to tire.

For my love for myself, is pure,

A love that makes my soul soar,

My work, my independence, all in line,

My self-love, my true lifeline.

So let me rise, each day with power,

My self-love, my true tower,

For I am tied to a deeper love,

A love that transcends, a love I'm worthy of.
