A Dog's Tale Poem by Eloida Capuno

A Dog's Tale

Rating: 5.0

I envy my little dog
He finds happiness in
his own world
playing with rags
pulling my shoes
ravaging my purse
eating tissue papers
running after cats
eats his meals at
his own time
sleeps anytime and
anywhere
mostly in my bed
I watch him snore
who said they dont?
He wakes me up mornings
licking my face
never mind that his breath
smells foul
so is mine
then he stretches his
body as if everything is fine
he runs to his urinal
his new day begins
While i, still in my bed
staring at the ceiling
wondering what my day
would be like...
