A Dream - Poem by Connie L. Burchett

All I have left is a dream of
What might have been?
The love that I can never
Share with you
Because you love another
My heart is beyond repair
Once again my hopes and
Dreams are shattered
I want to scream out why
Does this has to happen to me
All I want is to love you and
For you to love me too
Why is life so cruel?
And it takes every thing
That’s good away
