A Faint Clap Of Thunder Poem by Hrishikesh Mazumdar

A Faint Clap Of Thunder

The clap of thunder gleams in my love-filled eyes, the darkened sky hides the light threatening for a downpour though asks me the question—
Faint clap of thunder,
Cloudy skies,
Perhaps rain will come... And if so
shall you not stay?

The drops of rain sing a lullaby, trying to tell me something though I hear only what soothes my heart—
A faint clap of thunder,
Even if the rain comes,
I will stay here,
If you stay too.
