A Fine Coffee Poem by Alexander Foald

A Fine Coffee

A fine coffee right now
Is the best you can serve to me
From time to time, out of sorrow
And the light of afternoon sky is mean

I have asked the days passing by
Why the clouds keep hanging above
It never rains, it never disappears
Just waiting in a silent dream

A fine coffee right now
Is the one thing I need to drink
Before it gets dark and I’ll be late
Going home with my own two feet

Wonder lights beyond the mind
The wind blows the city far from love
Is it a dream or is it a reality
A desire that will never go away

A fine coffee right now
Is the closest thing to wherever she stays
Since my baby left me home alone
I’ve got no money to buy even one fine coffee
