A Glaswegian Valentine Poem by Dan Reynolds

A Glaswegian Valentine

A Glaswegian Valentine

Elsie and Senga were chewin' the fat
pittin' the world tay rights
When there, thru the winday, Senga saw that
Elsie's man wiz approaching beneath the streetlights

"Heh, Elsie" said Senga, " Yer man's oan his way,
it looks like he's been bevvyin' for hoors"
Said Senga, "I see, looks like I'll have to pay,
for he's bringin' a big bunch o' floowers!

Last time he brought some, I was never so sore,
He'd me laid on my back for 4 days."
Said Elsie, " I'm sorry that you are so poor,
what a shame that you've no got a vase! "

(Another old Joke put to rhyme)
