A Good Friend Poem by pedro moshood

A Good Friend

There was a time I said that blood
Though may be thicker than water,
Yet blood is water and that is not a question,
Because the fact has been attested to in the lab.

There are people in life that we meet,
And after conversing with them for few minutes
we become deeply convinced that we have known them
For centuries because they are special.

How we know them doesn't matter at all.
A family could be friend or a friend to a friend,
Because they watch our back when no one is there
And they go extra mile to put a smile on our face.

Some people have the heart of angels,
Not because they can bring down fire from above,
Nor like prophet Ezekiel that revived dry bones,
But they bear other peoples' cross along with theirs.
