A Handful Poem by Charles Malcolm

A Handful

Nine pills.
Twelve beers.
Twenty cigarettes.

Not much food.
Too many jokes.
Sometimes a movie.
Always the radio.

One woman.
Five poems.

All of the memories.
No sleep.

Every
single
day.
