A Hug - Poem by Tony Mushrow

A Hug
When you are feeling quite sad, and not at your best,
When life’s crazy lanes, are giving you a real test.
There one thing that’s sure, to put a big smile on your face,
catch hold of a loved one, in a warm, loving embrace.
Be sure to get into the habit, so it becomes like a drug,
Not a drink, or a smoke, what I mean is a hug.
It can be for your brother, your sister, your mum or your dad,
Your girlfriend, or wife, or just when you feel quite glad.
Or when you want to forgive, and in your way is your pride,
Just hug that much tighter, and you’ll feel better inside.
So please don’t look at me, like I’m a some daft, silly bugger,
I was once just like you, now I’m a serial hugger.
People were made very special by the Lord from above,
That why he gave us two arms to hug the ones that we love.

The End.
