A King From Zhong Guo Poem by Oladapo Oladosu

A King From Zhong Guo

Rating: 4.0

A king from Zhong guo
Whose name is Corona
And chieftaincy tittle Covid-19.
In the air, he pitches his throne,
Dethroner of the world powers.
Whose slaves soar by the ticktock.
What a mighty king you are!
fever and flu are his henchmen
cough is the general of his army.

What does your people call me?
OKing! some calls you pandemic,
someone called you China virus
but my people call you the rapture
And try to fight you with their blunt weapon
at least, blunt for this course.
What do you call?
I call you the unforeseen foe
the adversary of the globe.
when will I play with friends on the playground?
Worship at kirk and
Study at halls of ivy?
bustling cities are now Olympic national park.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A King from Zhong guo is a poem about recent world greatest fear and a very deadly pandemic, Corona virus. With close scrutiny, one will it has virtually all info on the novel disease; it origin, symptoms, its contagiousness, the belief of the common and religious obsessed people and it terrible effects which can be felt in all ramifications of life. With the use of conceit, I compared the might of Covid-19 to a king to show how powerful and deadly the Pandemic is. I just pray God heal the world soon.
