A Letter To Gabata Poem by Abdullahi Olamide Balogun

A Letter To Gabata

Rating: 5.0

In Gadau, you bloom and shine,
Where lessons unfold like petals of blooming flowers,
And teachers tend and nurture the young flowers.
A new chapter reveals like a Phoenix rising from the ashes.

Through the wicked storm you survived
By many nights, you cling and yearn,
A degree is gained and a paper is shunned.
A life experienced and a new life to fly.
Your stomach is full and you are ready to fly.

Fly, fly, high, above
To chase your dream and reach for stars.
Your stars are fit and shine;
To smile at the fruits you sown.
Embrace the future like an eagle in flight,
And your experience as a gift of life.

In this poetic dance, I wish
conquer the world and soar.
Birds flock together in a flock
Together you find the missing melody.

I spout here and there
To sing your legacy with all might
And I dance my pen like a soaring eagle
To write a letter to Gabata.
