A Letter To My Daughter Poem by BiggRich Shuping

A Letter To My Daughter

The morning yielded foggy patches
On the expansive canvas
Of the tuesday atmosphere
Nothing shone but your brightness
Billed the dark blue sky
With an invoice of your shine
My heart was not with me
But your arrival made it all fine
Because for the first time in a long time
I could taste love again

In your tiny clenched fists you held hope
Hope that all is not lost
The break of your cry
Made it worth the cost
Through you, I've been borrowed
Time for another smile,
Another step for another climb
And today I stand a short distance
From the peak of my climax
I should have named you happiness
For that's what you brought back to me
But you stand as a reminder that
God is love - - Modimo O lorato
