A Letter To Western Women (2024) Poem by Morgan Balanaser

A Letter To Western Women (2024)

Oh Queen of Queens, whose mind knows no self-flaw!

Allow me to burst the glorious mirage you treat as law

Trust not your lessons in university

Most men seek to serve women, not oppress

They love serving women, as women love caring for children. They love making women happy.

For myself, I seek to preserve the good in western countries

And cast out the evil that is destroying it

But should I fail, much good may be lost through deeds of those with little scruples, or great desperation

I ask you now to look at other people, as actual humans who have needs, and desires of their own.

If you value the freedoms you have, I urge you to promote, and defend true equality for all adults

Not just empty words, or one-sided posturing.

Be fair to men, and women both

And never assume someone is more privileged, or deserving because of the sex they were born into
