A Lifetime Of Choosing You Poem by Andre Brown

A Lifetime Of Choosing You

I have known the quiet of being alone,
A solitary soul, content on my own.
So understand, my love, when I say it's true,
I don't need someone; I simply choose you.
For what I feel runs deeper than words can convey,
It's the sincerest kind of
I've known the quiet of being alone,
A solitary soul, content on my own.
So understand, my love, when I say it's true,
I don't need someone; I simply choose you.
For what I feel runs deeper than words can convey,
It's the sincerest kind of love, growing stronger each day.

I don't dream of riches or a life dressed in gold,
Nor a perfect tomorrow as the years unfold.
I dream of waking to your sleepy smile,
And holding you close, if only for a while.
Of sharing my laughter, my worries, my tears,
And having you beside me through all of the years.

And when life gets difficult, as sometimes it will,
When the world becomes restless and time stands still,
I hope we keep finding our way back to each other,
Through every season, as lovers and friends, one beside the other.
I don't need perfection or a life without pain,
Just a love that keeps choosing, through sunshine and rain.

Forever is beautiful when I know it's with you,
A lifetime of memories still waiting to pursue.
For my greatest wish isn't to love you for today,
But to choose you tomorrow, in every possible way.
And if there's one thing I hope you'll always know,
I don't just want to love you; I want a lifetime to show.
