A Line To You Poem by Olufayo Ezekiel

A Line To You

Out of my waiting moment,
My locked heart has openly fecthed
You and You alone.

Like a thirsty soil
That sees the drops rain,
Like a hot soul
That feels the touch of waters,
I'v seen the apple I heartily fell for.

In the whimper and whisper
of my heart, against my coyness
I stood firm to tell You and You alone,
The way I feel,
The motion of my emotions under a moonlight.

But why can't you open your door?
Tell me 'YES' the longest poem of love.
Though many trousers may have
signed your history,
Love! I do not trace you like a trickster,
But, like a soul that have his plans,
Ringing your hand will make me a great.

Love! I know your plights,
With plead, do not change to me your ways,
Heart! The little me
still clamours for you day and night,
Sleeplessly, like a night guard,
Haplessly, like a needle without tread,
I awaits the return of your love in cycle.
