A Little
My heart stops a little
When I think about you
I smile just a little
When you think of me too
I gush just a little
When friends ask how I am
I rein in my heart strings
As well as I can
I feel just a little
Like I haven't in a while
This peace and contentment
When I see your smile
I don't dare believe
There's anything there
Must keep it inside
And play the game fair
I like you a little
But don't tell a soul!
I'm so sick of heartache
Don't need any more.
