A Lotus Flower Poem by Andrew W.K. Yip

A Lotus Flower

A Lotus Flower - Andrew W.K. Yip
A lotus blooms in a silent lake,
Hidden and pure, for beauty's sake.
Its velvet petals blush the stream,
Where dancing dewdrops catch the gleam.
Then storms arrive with violent might,
And cold winds shatter the quiet night.
Though the lotus fades and the waters roar,
The peaceful lake returns once more.
