A Mess Resides Poem by Sean Green

A Mess Resides

A mess resides behind the mask
decades taken to accumulate
the debris of anxieties
stacked to the ceiling and beyond

disaster striking behind the scenes
spun from life's anxieties
demanding privacy to be kept
behind the veil of reticence

this would be a reason why
to assume the front of good regard
but now the caring has deceased
the sins will flow for all to see

here's the joke for the room
only friends will stoop to care
while the remainder carry on
with disasters of their own.
