A Moment Of Realization Poem by Mikey Estrada

A Moment Of Realization

If my heart could talk, the truth that would unfold what be that of an electric shock.
Because I had once pictured us together taking that faithful walk but, Because my heart cannot come out, The picture I once had in my mind of the two of us fades out with doubt.
I just wish you could have felt that feeling of hope that I once felt, And since this whole thing I once saw in front of me starts to melt.
The only thing left for me to do is say good bye, I wish I could tell you why but I guess the man in me is shy.
I always had to lie everytime that I'd see you and exchange our Hi and byes.
I just played my feelings off like a game; Now I feel lame because I am ashamed, You found a real man and all I got was this empty soda can.
In the moment of realization I find that I had a mind that became blind once I saw you.
I also realize that I'm still in my youth, Because I never had an honest will to tell you the truth about my dream and now that dream is better left unsaid because I know it's something I can't redeem.
