A Moment Passes Poem by Danusha Marie

A Moment Passes

A moment passes
Without reverence
Too distracted or busy
To appreciate
That moments pass
Gone forever
What did you miss
A smiling stranger
Someone in need
A child skipping
A butterfly kiss
One chance to seize it
And make the most
Be the scout
See beauty surrounds
Even out of dark corners
A sliver of light can sprout
What will it take
To Appreciate
Each second of life
Offers a choice
To see hope ubiquitous
To see something great
A moment passes
In linear time
A breath, a whisper
A glance or a giggle
This time will be
A warm memory mine
