A Moment To Remember Poem by Chris Frando

Our story was like a fairy tale
There was an enchanted beginning
I was the Princess and his my Prince Charming
And we would have a happy ending.

Those wonderful moments with him
All my dreams came true
Sweet kisses and warm embrace
True love and happiness.

But blue skies turned to gray
All these things suddenly changed
He had broken his promise
And chosen to be with someone else.

I could not heard my heartbeats
Only my tears like rivers flowing
With the music of sorrow playing
It was an endless nightmare.

Each day that memories flashed back
I felt the pain the day he left me
I could barely erased it on my mind
Again and again it hurt me.

I wanted him with me to stay
And never wanted him to go away
But he made his choice and own way
The only thing I could do was to cry here.

Time passed by and I still longed
For us to be together once more
Missed him every hour, every day
Wished we never departed to each other.

But now, I'm starting a new life without him
Trying to leave the past behind me
And the hardest part of all is
Unchaining my heart that's holding on.

It is time to say goodbye
To my love and my dear
And giving up all we had together
This is the end of our fairy tale.
