A Monarch Poem by Rich Harney

A Monarch

A monarch fluttered up and passed
A viceroy similar.
Each a merry wanderer,
Down a southern stir.

A robin caught the wind of them
And traveled all along.
The story then begins like this,
You know it - once upon!

Every floral ecstasy
Salute imperial guests,
But mimicry and puzzling
Were under natures vest.

A robins blissful cognizance
Rewarded him - a snack!
The admirals jest - disguising him
And won his ataraxis!
